Fiber to the distribution point

FTTdp (fibre-to-the distribution point) scenario is similar to FTTC or FTTN scenario but the end of the fibre is brought to within meters of the boundary of the customers premises in last junction possible.

That could be hand-hole, man-hole, small outdoor cabinet mounted on a pole or on the wall.

EVX and EFX ONUs are very convenient solutions for terminating fibre in any of above-mentioned scenarios, being it P2P or GPON. Ultra-compact, easy to install, splash-proof housing and reverse powering makes deployment really simple! Speeds up to 700 Mbps are possible in order to deliver premium Triple Play services.

If the copper infrastructure in last mile is under dimensioned and/or narrow band pair gain systems are in place than MiniMSAN might serve as solution to provide at least 24Mpsand legacy POTS to each customer using ADLS2+ technology.
