Fiber to the Home

In FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) scenario fiber reaches the boundary of the living space, such as a box on the outside wall of a home.

EVX and EFX ONUs are very convenient solutions for terminating fibre in this scenario, being it P2P or GPON. Ultra-compact, easy to install, splash-proof housing and reverse powering makes deployment really simple! Speeds up to 700 Mbps are possible in order to deliver premium Triple Play services.

EFX-11 single port DPU in “Front door” scenario in multi dwelling house.

Fiber (P2P or GPON)  is terminated in the hallways of multi dwelling house. Each fiber is terminated with single port DPU EFX-11. Existing in-house copper infrastuructre is used to provide up to 1 Gbps of data to each subcriber by means of G.fast technology.  Each subscriber powers his own dedicated DPU from his mains  – individual reverse powering- via same copper pair. This approach allows totally individual approach and is perfectly in line with “Pay As You Grow” strategy in 1-port increment. Due to the copper pair topology and short lines there is no crosstalk from other lines.  Solution allows coexistence with ADSL and VDSL access technologies and does not need any vectoring !
